Two decades of design and construction across South America and China — now bringing that craft to homes across Maryland.
Maincare Services was founded in Maryland by Jeronimo Betancur — a Colombian-licensed architect with an international career spanning residential and large-scale projects across South America and China. Over twelve years in Beijing with the German engineering firm Obermeyer and his own studio, Equilibrium Architecture, Jeronimo led the design and delivery of roughly thirty projects in fifteen Chinese cities — from a winning entry in the international competition for the 2008 Beijing Olympics indoor stadium to the Beijing ABP Shopping Mall Complex (北京总部基地), now built and operating.
Back in Colombia, as Team Leader at Findeter, he supervised the delivery of approximately one thousand low-income homes through Housing Ministry programs across the country, managing schedules, budgets, and design compliance across ten to twelve concurrent projects each year.
Jeronimo brings the rigor of formal architectural training and decades of built work to every Maincare project — from a first-time homeowner's bathroom remodel to a full coastal addition.
Jeronimo is a licensed architect in Colombia and is not currently licensed as an architect in the United States. U.S. architectural licensure with NCARB is in progress. Maincare Services operates as a residential design and design-build studio; where a professional seal is legally required, work is coordinated with a licensed Maryland design professional.
What you get with Maincare: the attention to detail of a boutique design practice, the coordination of a builder, and the cultural care of a team that treats every home like it's their own. We take on a small number of residential projects each year — so every conversation is direct, and every project gets the depth it deserves.
Great building starts with careful design — proportion, light, sequence, and how the space is used day to day.
You'll always know where your project stands — what's done, what's next, what it costs, and why.
Materials, finishes, fasteners, and fit-and-finish all matter. Coastal Maryland is unforgiving; the details earn their keep.
Every project is a chance to make daily life a little better — quieter mornings, brighter rooms, easier hosting.
